Popular in Bavaria and Germany, beer gardens are a festive place for people to get together and delight in good food, beer, and the outdoors.


Many have popped up over the years around Milwaukee, and they are definitely family-friendly. Drink responsibly!

One of Milwaukee's most well-know beer gardens is located in Estabrook Park in Milwaukee. It's situated along the river and is close to a large playground and skate park. There are walking path along the river, as well.

The Vine Humboldt is a new wine and beer garden in Humboldt Park, in the heart of Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood. Enjoy wine, craft beer, and Peruvian empanadas inside the historic farmhouse location, or outside in our spacious open-air areas. It's located steps away from the Humboldt Park playground and lagoon.

One of the newest beer gardens in the Milwaukee area, the oasis is steps away from a brand new playground, amphitheater, and new air-conditioned restroom facilities.

7. Sprecher Traveling Beer Garden

This vintage truck travels from park to park throughout the city for 1-2 weeks at time. Check the schedule on the Milwaukee County Parks website!

8. South Shore Terrace

South Shore Terrace is an open-air gastropub located in the 1930's bathhouse with lake view gardens, a family menu & live music nights (live music is not happening in 2021). It's close to the playground in South Shore Park.
